Report: Trump Cancelled SC Event For POLITICAL Reasons, Campaign In PANIC MODE

According to Richard Grenell, the former U.S. spokesperson to the U.N. under George W. Bush, the Trump campaign is in PANIC MODE:

Earlier today representatives had said that he had cancelled the SC event because of a business deal. But new polls showing Fiorina gaining on el Trumpo after the GOP debate, and the firestorm over his Townhall “Muslim question” scandal would completely explain any panic the campaign might be in… if it’s true.

National Poll Says Fiorina Easily WON The GOP Debate, But Trump Still #Winning…

Notice that only the Left wing media is pumping this rumor. Shame on Conservative blogs for giving fuel to this story.

Yes, the guy that used to work for Trump’s chief competitor’s brother?! Yes, that guy.

Michael Needham, the Heritage Action CEO recently called Trump a clown on Chris Wallace’s show. Plus, he stated Trump needs to get out of the race. Trump may be wise to skip the event. May be a set up against Trump.

Questioning why a candidate does during a campaign isn’t the same as hating them. These are the primaries – we’re suppose to question, poke, prod, and examine the candidates, their statements, their positions, and how they are conducting their campaign. That’s kind of the point.

Believe it or disbelieve it – that’s up to you. But we certainly have to consider it.

Personally, I think that Trump skipped Liberty conference because he wasn’t quite prepared to get into the weeds with policy specific questions. I watched the conference and the questions were – at times – very policy specific. I also recall that Trump was asked just prior to the second debate about how he prepared for the debate – his response was that he didn’t really prepare, he was just going to wing it. Given his style, that usually works pretty well for him, but I think that after the debate he and his campaign realized that it might not fly to well at the Liberty conference so they made a tactical decision to skip it for now. A calculated risk, but understandable given a possible Fiorina surge and drawing flak from the N.H. faux outrage over the stupid Muslim question. With those things nipping at his heels, if he fumbled at the Liberty conference he’d have a fairly serious problem on his hands. Taken individually, a Firorina surge, the media pile on from the N.H. Muslim question, and a fumbled policy answer wouldn’t do much lasting damage (if any) to his campaign; but to have all three at essentially the same time would possibly put a serious dent in his campaigns momentum.

I could be all wet on his reasoning for skipping the Liberty conference, but the scenario does kind of make sense from a campaign tactics standpoint, IMO.
